Super Eagles skipper happy with Norwich move

Yobo joined Norwich to get more playing time, as the experienced defender has been out of Ersun Yanal's favour at Fenerbahce since the beginning of the season.

Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo is happy to be back in the English Premier League after he completed a loan move from Fenerbahce to Norwich during the winter transfer.

The former Standard Liege star who already spent eight seasons in Premier League as Everton player is hoping that he can be a valuable addition to Chris Hughton's squad in their quest to avoid relegation.

“I trained on Monday but on Tuesday but it was with the whole squad so I’m happy to be here. I know a few of the players already, it wasn’t entirely new to me but I was felt welcome,” Yobo told club's official website.

“I’m excited that I had this opportunity to come back to England. It’s probably the best league in the world, and it’s a new challenge so I’m looking forward to it.

“There were loads of clubs from abroad who were interested in me, but the manager here convinced me and I wanted to come back to the Premier League.

“We had a week break for Christmas in Turkey, but then two weeks of training after that and it was good, so I’m ready to go.”
