Nakamura rules out national team return

Former Celtic free kick master and playmaker, Shunsuke Nakamura has ruled out the possibility of a return to the Japan national team.

The 35-year old Yokohama F. Marinos midfielder, who was the J.League Player of the Year in 2013, retired from international football after the 2010 World Cup but is being linked with a potential comeback too the Blue Samurai line-up ahead of Brazil 2014.

The player, who has had stints with Reggina in Italy and Espanyol in Spain, has made it clear that he has no plans to try and force his way into Alberto Zaccheroni’s Japan side.
