Christian Gytkjaer took advantage of a Rosenborg defensive mix-up to earn Haugesund a point at Lerkendal Stadion on Friday.
Nigeria striker John Chibuike Junior gave Rosenborg Stanislas a 26th-minute lead to reward their pressure.
Haugesund midfielder Ugonna Anyora wasn't dressed for the match.
Chibuike expressed disappointment at the draw, but praised the resilience of the away team.
"I think there's a disappointment because [Rosenborg's players] know they've done enough again.
"But, in this environment, we've got nothing but praise for them because they came back with a fantastic attitude and spirit, and in my opinion fully deserved the equaliser," he asserted.
