Edwin Okon: We gave them a good game, but failed to convert begging chances

Forward Ogimi Yuki of Chelsea scored in the 36th minute and midfielder Kawasumi Nahomi of INAC Kobe struck in the 53rd minute, as Japan defeated the Super Falcons on Sunday.

Nigeria interim coach Okon Edwin Edem has declared that his wards gave Japan a good game in the two-nil friendly loss in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, on Sunday, the first of a two-game friendly series.

He said that the game ought to have taken another twist, if his wards had
taken begging chances that came their way.

“Generally, it was a good game. We created chances but couldn’t take them. Japan had to deliver in front of the big crowd,” the Rivers Angels tactician accepted.

Super Falcons would try to fight for pride in Thursday's game at Fukuda Denshi Arena in Chiba. The game will kickoff 11:15am Nig Time.
