At the Estadio Madiera, John Ogochukwu Ogu's Academica were pipped one-nil by Nacional in a Portugal Premier League match.
The Super Eagles midfielder was dressed for the match, but had to make do with a bench role.
Ogu, is an integral member of Stephen Okechukwu Keshi's Super Eagles team.
