There seems to be no stopping FC Zurich at present. After their dominant displays during the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament, coach Dorjee Tsawa’s side continued their winning streak on the domestic front, comfortably beating a previously undefeated FC Basel outfit 3-1.
Captain Fabienne Humm broke the deadlock after just two minutes, with Coumba Sow doubling their lead shortly before half-time.
Fabienne Bangerter reduced the deficit after the restart, before Humm sealed the win in added time. The victory took Zurich’s points tally to six for the season, leaving them down in fourth, although they do have two games in hand over leaders SC Kriens.
Top three: SC Kriens, FC Yverdon (both on 10), FC Basel (9)
