On from reports of the player’s agents finalising personal terms for the Welshman, AS report that a deal between Spurs and Madrid has been reached at a total value of €91m.
The Spanish capital outlet, in quoting club sources at the Santiago Bernabeu, are running the line that Madrid will pay an initial fee of €84m for Bale, with a further €7m due in variables.
The deal would make Bale the second most expensive player in history, after Madrid’s purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009 for €96m.
Bale is expected in Spain on Sunday evening ahead of undergoing a medical on Monday morning. It is also believed that Madrid may make official news of the deal before 10pm UK time on Friday.
