Real Madrid’s Fernando Fernandez Tapias has said there are ‘problems’ with Gareth Bale’s proposed move, but he expects the player will sign eventually.
Bale has seen a proposed world record transfer from Tottenham stall in recent days, but Los Blancos’ Vice-President is not overly concerned.
“There are problems, but I think that in the end he will come,” Fernandez Tapias told reporters today as he travelled with the squad to A Coruna for the Trofeo Teresa Herrera against Deportivo.
“We believed that he was going to be here [for the game], but so far he is not at Madrid, although it is possible that he will be.
“I think he will come, but I could not swear to it completely. We are going to wait because they [Tottenham] are stalling.
“There is no doubting his level, but Real Madrid without Bale is still much, we have a great team.”
