Zamalek assistant coach Usama Nabeh has denied that his team has had any negotiations with Nigerian player Stephen Worgu in order to sign him during this transfer window.
The Nigerian media earlier suggested that the player had an offer for trials from the Egyptian giants Zamalek and that he turned it down .
"That is not true, we did not send for him and nor did we ask for his services. So I don't know what his agent is talking about". Usama Nabeh told to supersport.com.
"We have not heard about or from Worgu since a long time. In any case I spoke with our head coach Helmy Tolan again and he assured me he that he doesn't need him" Nabeh added.
Worgu was very close to weaing the Al Ahly kit in 2009 but the Egyptian board refused to close the deal.
The player who was born in 1990 is well known by African fans ever since he played for the Nigerian side Enyimba as far back as 2007, before moving to Al-Merrikh of Sudan in 2009.
