Reds in bid for Damiao

Liverpool are interested in Internacional striker Leandro Damiao.


Damiao has long been pursued by Tottenham, but they found it difficult to ­negotiate a deal.

Damiao still wants a move to Europe though, and manager Rodgers believes he has the quality that can take the Reds’ forward line to the next level.

Even if Suarez stays, Liverpool ­realise they must help him on the goal front if the side are to push for a top-four place.
