Pillars/Tetouan Match Pushed Forward

CAF Champions League first round first leg match between Moghreb Tetouan of Morocco and Nigeria’s Kano Pillars has been rescheduled by a week following the attack suffered by Pillars which left several of their players injured.

Mohammed Gambo, Eneji Otekpa, Reuben Ogbonnaya, Murtala Adamu and Moses Ekpai all suffered gunshot wounds after armed robbers attacked them last week on their way to a league match at Heartland..

Pillars were to have battled Tetouan this weekend, but the Morocco FA will now choose a new time within the weekend of the March 20-22 for the encounter.

Pillars eliminated Al-Malakia in the preliminary round, while Tetouan saw off Mali’s Olympique Bamako.
