The Flying Eagles, who have been lifted by a winning start to the African Youth Championship in Senegal, will depart Dakar for Mbour Friday morning ahead of a final Group A clash against Cote d’Ivoire Saturday evening.
The Nigeria U20 team will put up at the Palm Beach Hotel in Mbour, which is an hour by bus from Dakar and one of Senegal’s top tourists’ resorts.
Saturday’s match, which will get underway by 5pm local time, which is 6pm in Nigeria, will be played on artificial pitch of the Caroline Faye Stadium.
The team trained on Thursday evening for an hour at the French Military Barracks pitch known as BIMA.
Striker Taiwo Awoniyi, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Ifeanyi Matthew were less involved in the work-out as they are nursing slight knocks.
Awoniyi, who is the leading scorer in the African Youth Championship with three goals, has a knock on his right knee, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi had three stitches for a head injury he suffered against Congo on Wednesday, while Ifeanyi Matthew has a little niggle around his hamstring.
The Flying Eagles will finish top of Group A notwithstanding the result of the match as they have an unassailable six points after two matches, while the Ivorians need to win to guarantee a ticket to the final four of the tournament.
Pre-match meeting has been fixed for 10am local time, while the routine pre-match press conference will take place at 3pm.
The team will train at the Diambars Academy by 5.30pm.
The Nigeria U20s are expected back at the Alafifa Hotel in Dakar on Sunday to prepare for their semi-final clash against the runners-up in Group B, which could either be Ghana or Mali.
Ghana and Mali both have six points apiece after two matches in Group B and have both qualified for the U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
However, the Black Satellites of Ghana are ahead in the standings having scored more goals than their fellow West Africans.
The leadership of this group will be decided on Sunday in Mbour when both teams come face-to-face in a final group game.
