Reims attackers fires two past Enyeama

Reims claimed their first Ligue 1 win this season as they beat Lille 2-1 thanks to Mads Albaek's early score and Christopher Glombard's second-half scrambled strike.

Albaek put the home side ahead with a seventh-minute rocket before Glombard sealed the win midway through the second period, with Marko Basa's 88th-minute score for Lille only a late consolation.

The victory for Reims comes after their opening-day defeat away at Rennes, while Lille were unable to follow up their 1-0 win over Lorient on their first away trip of the season.

Albaek got Reims off to a perfect start when he fired Eliran Atar's free-kick into the top corner of Vincent Enyeama's goal.

Reims striker Gaetan Courtet managed to control to ball and he flicked it on to Glombard, whose low shot beat a surprised Lille keeper Vincent Enyeama.

The Super Eagles skipper will now be switching his attention to the week 3 of the Ligue 1.
