Nigeria striker Ekigho Ehiosun has rejoined his former club Samsunspor on a year’s deal from Genclerbirligi.
‘Iron Man’ Ehiosun was a big hit for Samsunspor when he joined them from Warri Wolves for 2011/2012 season, when he scored nine goals in 31 games before he went on to join Genclerbirligi on a three-year deal.
Ekigho expressed his delight to return to a club he calls home.
"This is my home. My experience here was very nice. I agreed to come when they requested for me. I am dreaming of helping the team return to the Super League. If we work hand in hand with the manager and the supporters will succeed," he said.
Injury limited his appearances for Genclerbirligi last season.
Ekigho will now play alongside compatriot Umar Aminu in the new season, which kicks off this weekend.
