It is learnt that Bayern Munich have accepted Arsenal's 20 million bid for midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
If Gustavo makes a move to the Emirates then this would be the club's record signing and would be Arsene Wenger's big signing of the summer. Moreover, it is believed Arsenal are going to step up the talks with the player's representative.
However, this week the 26-year-old would be away on international duty and Arsenal need permission from Brazil team to speed things up and seal the deal at the earliest.
Gustavo after failing to remain favourite in the midfield after Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez took centerstage has informed Bayern of his interntions of moving out.
Added to that new Bayern boss, Pep Guardiola is not keen to start with him.
He was almost close to joining Wolfsburg but wanted to join a Champions League outfit as he wants a regular starting position keeping in mind the World Cup next year in Brazil.
During the January tranfer window, Arsenal had made an attempt but stopped after learning that Bayern were not that keen on selling Gustavo.
