Gareth Bale will not play for Tottenham again, according to reports in the British Press.
The 24-year-old will refuse to line-up for Spurs after becoming disillusioned with chairman Daniel Levy.
The Wales international feels that the board member broke a promise, with the club refusing to negotiate with Real Madrid over the attacker’s price. “I will not wear the Spurs shirt again,” he is said to have told teammates.
A ‘source’ close to the player has told the tabloid: “He is confused and somewhat bitter. Gareth cannot understand why Spurs would shut down the deal.”
Los Blancos reportedly made a world-record €100m bid for Bale earlier this summer.
The winger has already missed the club’s Asian tour, as well as friendly matches against Monaco and Espanyol.
