National League Campaigners Supreme Court FC of Abuja have sent strong
notice to would-be opponents ahead of kick off of 2014/2015 football season
with 5-0 spanking of an Abuja-based side Future Stars in friendly match at the
weekend.
Fondly
known as Apex Boys, Coach Fatai Osho turtored Supreme Court team which paraded
mainly new signings dealt a big blow against Stars right the 5th
minute of the encounter when experienced striker Eric Eric buried the first
home.
Eric who
scored nine league goals last season volleyed the second of the day in 24th
minute before U-23 returnee Faisal Sherif completed first half party with a cool
finish in the 40th minute.
Getting
into second half, the Apex Boys persistence continued before it paid off in 85th
minute when Eric grabbed hatrick while Kingsley Okoh scored stoppage time goal.
Coach Osho
who spoke after the friendly encounter heaped praises on his wards even as he
admitted that noticeable lapses would be worked on before the new season
starts.
According
to him “My Players put up a very good performance despite the fact some of them
are new players who have really blended with the team. we are almost close to what
we want and I’m very optimistic on our readiness.
“Our Opponents
gave us a good fight just that we capitalized on their mistakes to get more
goals,”
Hatrick
Hero Eric dedicated his superlative performance to his teammates and assured
his readiness to score more goals in the upcoming season.
