The Yak swaps China for Qatar

Okomu Oil product Yakubu Aiyegbeni has swapped Guanghzou R&F for a stint in Qatar with Al Rayyan.
Popular 'The Yak' reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Qatari club after spending last two seasons in China.

He has a reputation for being a goal poacher wherever he went to, and Al Rayyan would be happy to have a proven goalscorer in their ranks.

During his stay at Guangzhou R&F he scored 23 goals in 43 league matches.. Al Rayyan will be Yakubu's 11th club in his professional career.

Yakubu is fondly remembered by fans for his miss against South Korea in South Africa 2010 World Cup.

The 31-year-old journeyman forward has previously played for Julius Berger, Gil Vicente, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Kfar Saba, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton, Leicester, Blackburn, and aforementioned Guangzhou R&F.
