Enyimba loses nine-game unbeaten run in NPFL

Enyimba International saw their nine-match unbeaten league record came to an end as they were beaten 2-1 by Warri Wolves at the Warri City Stadium on Sunday.


Gbolahan Salami gave the Seasiders the lead against his former team in the 41st minute.

The People's Elephants even the scoreline thanks to a 45th penalty kick that was well converted by Christian Obiozor.

Enyimba continued to stifle Wolves as the hosts struggled to get their wide players into good positions.

But Abu Azeez delivered what later turned out to be the winner when he drove home a superb finish from the edge of the box.

Both sides were in different territory in the final 20 minutes - Wolves trying to hold onto a one-goal lead, and Enyimba trying to come from behind.
