Shooting Stars Crush Giwa

Shooting Stars thumped Giwa FC 3-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday to make sure they zoomed to 11th in the Premiership table.

It was a great way to end game for the Shooting Stars fans, who profited from a brace by Ibrahim Ajani and one goal from Nojeem Olukokun.

Both sides finished the game with ten men after 3SC captain Izu Joseph and Giwa FC's Jimmy Ambrose were expelled for violent conduct.

Giwa FC also had their assistant coach sent to the stands for unruly conduct on the line.

The Oluyole Warriors dominated the game from start to finish, and might have had more goals to show for their efforts.

They had the lead when Ajani finished from close-range after Olorunleke Ojo had initially made a save.

Yinka Adedeji and Wasiu Jimoh then combined to set-up Ajani for Shooting Stars' second.

Scorer turned provider for the third when Ajani's cross found Olukokun and the striker headed home.

The pace of the game dropped in the second period, Stars happy to defend what they had and Giwa FC resigned to their fate in the match.
