Super Falcons Coach, Edwin Edem Okon has named a strong squad for
Saturday's 2014 African Women's Championship qualifying game against the
She-Wasps of Rwanda in Kigali.
The squad made up of 16 home-based players and 2 overseas-based stars is due to prosecute the crucial first leg encounter at the Stade de Kigali.
Executive Committee member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma will lead the team that comprises of four coaches and six officials.
The team will depart Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja on Wednesday afternoon aboard an Ethiopian airline flight to Addis-Ababa before connecting a flight to Kigali.
The She-Wasps eliminated Kenya in the first round of the 2014 African Women’s Championship (AWC) qualifiers to set-up a second round gigantic clash against seven-time winners of the tournament, Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
Grace Nyinawunumtu’s team won the first leg 1-0 at Stade de Kigali on February 16 before losing the second leg 2-1 in Nairobi, but progressed to the next stage on the away goals rule.
