According to a statement by the team’s Media Officer, Elizabeth Kah, the squad began training in Abuja on Friday.
Nigeria qualified for the competition after winning their matches against Sierra Leone, Tunisia and South Africa.
Kah listed the players as Sandra Chichi,
Ibijoke Sangonuga, Lucky Andy, Chiedo Ehiudo, Sarah Nnodim, Ebere Okoye,
Gladys Abasi, Victoria Aidelemon, Jiroro Idike, Rosemary Okoro and Osas
Igbinovia.
Others are Asisat Oshoala, Halimat Ayinde,
Loveth Ayila, Uchenna Kalu, Ogechi Ukwuoma, Grace Henry, Winifred
Eyebhoria, Mabel Michael, Chidima Edeji, Ugo Njoku, Chinwe Ihezou, Maria
Oke and Yetunde Adeboyejo.
The rest are Uchechi Sunday, Hauwa
Abdullahi, Yetunde Aluko, Florence David, Oluchi Ofoegbu, Esther Elijah,
Patience Okaeme, Sidi Ajibola, Abosede Olukayode, Amarachi Ojimma and
Uchegbe Amisata.
