Granada striker, Isaac Success is doubtful
for next weekend's showdown between the Flying Eagles and Tanzania at
the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Despite the Nigeria Under 20s winning the first leg tie 2 - 0 in Dar es Salaam this past Sunday, coach Manu Garba is not taking any chances, and has insisted that the squad should be bolstered with one of his favourite pupils, Isaac Success.
The Nigerian manager of the Granada starlet, Dominic Egbukwu says there is a misunderstanding between the Nigeria Football Federation and the Andalusian outfit over the release of the CAF Under 17 Championship Goleador.
''The Nigerian Federation claimed to have sent an invitation letter to Granada for the release of Isaac Success but the Spanish club said it was not received, so another letter had to be sent. I called the NFF today and they said there is no reply from Granada yet.
''Success has already booked his ticket to travel to Nigeria this weekend but this must be authorized by Granada,'' Dominic Egbukwu said to SL10.ng.
The 18-year-old , himself, has stressed that he is ready to represent Nigeria if the impasse between his club and the Nigeria Federation is resolved.
He has made the bench on two different occasions for the Granada main team while netting 3 goals in 5 appearances for Granada II, who play in the third - tier.
