Leicester City, are eyeing a summer move for Super Eagles captain
Joseph Yobo, after their billionaire owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
revealed £180m will be available for new signings.
Yobo, who last season played at relegated side Norwich on loan
from Turkish team Fenerbache, will be entering the last year of his
three-year deal with the Turkish giants and they will be willing to let
him leave for a fee in the region of £1m.
Manger of Leceister City, Nigel Pearson, is a known admirer of
the qualities of the Super Eagles captain and has twice failed with bids
for Yobo.
However, Leicester Evening news are speculating that Pearson
might be lucky at his third attempt due to the premiership football now
on offer and their ambition of finishing in the top five will also be a
pull.
Leicester sealed a place in the lucrative top flight of English
football by winning the Championship title last month, ending a
decade-long absence from the Premier League.
