Flying Eagles have said they are ready
to take on surprise team Lesotho in the final round of qualifiers for
the 2015 AYC in Senegal.
Nigeria will host the Southern Africans on August 16 in a first leg clash with the return slated for Lesotho two weeks later.
The Nigeria U20s stopped Tanzania 6-1 on aggregate, while Lesotho edged past much-fancied Angola 4-1 after two ties.
“Lesotho are a bit of a surprise because Angola are better known for their football,” said Flying Eagles defender Wilfred Ndidi.
“But all the same, we will not relax and take Lesotho for granted. We are ready for them.”
Coach Manu Garba said playing at home first would not affect his team.
“All matches are the same depending on how you approach them,” the Flying Eagles coach said.
