Super Falcons head coach Edwin Okon has decleared that the preparation for an international friendly with Japan will play no negative toll on the performance of River Angels in the 2013 Women Federation Cup final in Lagos.
Okon, who is the head coach of Nigeria Women Football League club River Angels of Port-Harcourt insists the participation of the club in the crunch final with Nasarawa Amazons on September 15 at the Teslim Balogun stadium.
He however, assured that the activities with the women national team will not be a problem.
“The Federation Cup would not affect our preparations here becuase we have intensified training.
“We are training twice a day now and we will just miss three days when we go for on September 14 and come back on 16,” said the coach of the defending champions who are firing up for their third successive Federation Cup title.
The Falcons are preparing for two friendly matches with Japan which will be played in September 22 and 26 in Japan.
