GNPL: Alfred another Dodo Mayana

Gombe United taught Kaduna United the lesson of their lives with a three-nil thumping of the former NFF Fed Cup Kings at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday.
The goalscorers were accorded the headlines and plaudits. One man that stood out in the encounter was agile goalie Alfred Segun Fatunwase.

Alfred saved two penalties in the match and was the Jericho that denied Kaduna access to the territory of Gombe United.

He was hailed and given thumbs up by fans that thronged the Stadium to root for Gombe. The goal-tender made a couple of decent stops, with the stats master crediting him with 7 world class reflex saves.

It was a man-of-the-match effort by the cool-headed shot-stopper.

"The first kick almost slipped through my left palm, but I somehow saved it. The other one was an easy one for me, but in all the glory goes to God for the win and not my individual performance, the Ilorin-born custodian said.
