Odubajo inspires the Orients, Nigerians show class in England


~At the Prenton Park, Akpo Sodje's Tranmere Rovers played a three-all draw with Crawley Town. The Nigerian-born forward fired blanks and was substituted in the second half.

~Fast improving Moses Odubajo added the third goal for Leyton Orient in the 3-0 win over Shrewsbury at the Matchroom Stadium.

~Enoch Showunmi failed to shine as his club, Notts County fell 4-2 to Peterborough at the Meadows Lane.

~Bamidele Ali's MKD triumphed one-nil at home to Chuks Aneke's Crewe. The duo were on for 90 minutes for their respective clubs.

~Reliable custodian Carl Ikeme celebrated a win as Wolverhampton Wanderers thrashed Gillingham four-nil.

~Ikechi Anya proved he was not just an interpreter as he helped Watford to a 6-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Vicarage Road. The winger lasted the entire match duration.

~Birmingham City were one-nil winners against Championship new boys Yeovil Town at the Huish Park. Skillful midfielder Tom Adeyemi was handed his second straight start by the winning team and he didn't disappoint.

~Bolton Wanderers had to settle for a one-all draw against visiting Reading FC at the Reebok Stadium. Nigerian-born Sanmi Odelusi replaced Korean star Chung-Yong Lee in added time for the Wanderers.

~Super Eagles centre-back Danny Shittu and his Millwall pals were humiliated three-nil in their Week 2 Championship tie away to Ipswich Town on Saturday August 10 2013.
