Usman Garba, the club’s Team Manager revealed that three coaches had already been screened for the job.
“The club’s Technical Committee has submitted its report and that name of the successful coach will be announced soon,” he said.
Garba said the coaches interviewed included Tunde Abdulraman, Usman Diffo and Abubakar Hassan.
However, Abdulrahman has been named as the head coach of Kwara United, narrowing the race to Biffo and Hassan.
“This is a move that will help in bringing back the club’s glory and returning it to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) from the present Nigeria National League (NNL),” he said.
The Team Manager said the club had also concluded plans to engage the services of five new players for its 2014/2015 campaign.
“We are now waiting for the technical committee people to submit their list,” he said.
Former U-23 coach, Godwin Uwua was the club’s Chief Coach up to last season when his services were not renewed after he failed to help the club back to the NPFL.
