Mourinho Gives Eagles Star Game Time In Dominant Win

Nigeria international John Obi Mikel was in action for Chelsea as the English Premier League leaders dispatched West Ham United 2-0 on Boxing Day.

The Super Eagles star was a second half substitute for the Blues who extended their points haul at the top to 45.

In recent times, the  former Flying Eagles midfielder has been in the good books of Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho.

Leaders Chelsea tightened their grip on the Premier League's top spot with a commanding victory over West Ham.

The Blues had already come close through Oscar and Gary Cahill when John Terry turned in Diego Costa's header from close range.

After a tame first half, West Ham offered more in the second, but their hopes were snuffed out by Costa's drilled finish just after the hour.
