Rivers Angels midfielder, Evelyn Nwabuoku has cautioned her teammates that it would be calamitous to underrate their opponents, Nasarawa Amazons in Sunday’s NFF Fed Cup final in Lagos.
Angels qualified for the grand finale at the expense of the Pelican Stars with an impressive 2-0 victory at the Area 3 Stadium, Abuja to set up a final date with Amazons.
Super Falcons ace, Evelyn, who accounted for the ouster of Confluence Queens and Pelican Stars, has called on fans of Rivers Angels to exercise restraint ahead of the game against Amazons which she predicts will be tough.
“We cannot afford to look beyond the finals now because that would be disrespectful to Amazons,” Evelyn said.
The fantastic skipper however stated that Rivers Angels would scale through if the players approach the game with the right spirit.
“We just have to keep doing what we are doing and keep our feet on the ground.
"We have to keep training hard and believing in ourselves and hopefully we will retain our title,” she said.
