Madrid manager happy with Lopez' performance

Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez again repaid coach Carlo Ancelotti's faith with a superb performance for their 2-2 draw with Villarreal.

Lopez was again selected by Ancelotti ahead of Real captain Iker Casillas.

“He played well, he was very active and was always ready. I don’t know if he saved us from losing. I think if we had paid a little more attention we could have won, since at 1-2 we found it easy,” said Ancelotti.

When asked about the goalkeeper for Tuesday in the Champions League, he said: “The decision has been made. Iker and Diego both know it and there is no problem”.
