Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo has admitted that he feels sympathy with Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas.
The Yellow Submarine host Los Blancos this weekend, but will not face the Spain international, who has been dropped for Diego Lopez.
And the 24-year-old, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid, has conceded that it is tough to be on the bench.
“I have been in that situation before,” he told AS. “To be playing and then not is not easy.
“In the end you have to face it in the best way possible. You have to keep working hard and then just wait for an opportunity.
“Everyone expected that with the new Coach coming in Iker would play again, but Ancelotti decides and has gone with Diego Lopez.
“But for me, Iker is the best goalkeeper in history. And that makes it difficult.
