Daniel Ogunmodede has been appointed as the assistant coach of Remo Stars FC for the 2014/15 Nigeria National League campaign.
Following the appointment of Uche Okagbue as the head coach earlier this week, the Sky Blue Stars have moved a step closer to ensuring they have a strong technical team for the new NNL season with the appointment of Ogunmodede.
Daniel who was with Crown FC in the Nigeria Professional League last season ended his six years romance with the Ogbomosho team by switching tent to the Sky Blue Stars after the team got relegated from the top division.
“Well I'm glad to have joined up with Remo Stars Football Club. It's club with the right atmosphere for exhibiting your capabilities.
“This isn't a backward move for me because I have been able to work in Crown, promoting them on two occasions in assisting duties. Hopefully I'll do the same with Remo Stars and things might be different from Crown.”
“I'm quite pleased with what I have seen so far and working with a very good friend in Uche Okagbue it makes it a whole lot easier for me to bring my experience to the table.
“The club has a tradition of playing football with young players which is quite interesting because I was here in 2013 and I was amazed with how the team played and it's something I want to be part of the dynamism and outstanding performance of the team and hopefully I can achieve a lot with Remo Stars,” Daniel added.
