SPL Clubs Monitoring NPL Stars

SL10.ng understands that two South African Premier League clubs could bolster their ranks with players from the Nigeria Premier League in the on-going summer transfer market.

The coast is almost clear for Enugu Rangers central defender Pierre Coly and Warri Wolves striker Austin Amutu to begin trials with the PSL teams.

And that information is subject to both players receiving positive green light from the South African embassy here in Nigeria.

Experienced Senegalese stopper, Coly, is wanted by Moroka Swallows, the same club that pay the wages of out - of - favour Nigeria international goalkeeper, Greg Etafia.

If not for visa delays, the 29 - year - old would have embarked on the trip to Johannesburg on June 23rd.
On the other hand, Gavin Hunt, manager of Bidvest Wits, is set to run the rule over Austin Amutu for about a week, beginning from Saturday, July 5.

Austin Amutu is described as a big, strong target man with powerful shooting ability.

Another South African club, Mamelodi Sundowns have already wrapped up a deal to sign Enugu Rangers poster boy, Ejike Uzoenyi on a four – year deal.
