Shola: I Won't Influence Sammy's International Future

Newcastle United hero Shola Ameobi won't seek to influence kid brother Sammy over his international plans.
England U21 winger Sammy Ameobi has touched base with Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi about his international future.

Speaking on the prospect of him following in his foot-steps with the Nigeria team, World Cup striker Shola told the Evening Chronicle: “Sammy is his own man and knows what is good for him.

“He has been asking me about the team and what it takes to be there.

“I let him know what a great nation Nigeria are to play for.

“If he decides to play for Nigeria then I am going to give him all my support.”
