Women's Fed Cup Wrap: Tokas Queens Skipper Hopes For Improvement

Tokas Queens captain Ganiyu Sherifat has asked for more on the part of her team mates despite a good season so far in the round leather game.

The dark skinned midfielder led the Adetona Oladele tutored side to a 5-1 bashing of Tin City Queens of Jos in a Fed Cup match on Friday.

Joy Enoch was in devastating form, netting four goals, with Faith Onyemere also contributing a goal. The Jos Girls reduced the deficit late in the second half.

Speaking with Futball Galore Magazine after the Nigeria Women Pro League team campaigners easily dismissed Tin City at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium, the upcoming lad hopes the team improves as the competition progresses.

“There's been loads of positives and the important thing is that we have improved a lot compared to our performance in the previous season. I really believe in these crop of players and hope we
improve in the 2014 Fed Cup.”

“I think Joy has been one of our brightest prospects this season. I think she did well upfront,” the attacking midfielder added.

In the other match of the preliminary stage, Rising Queens of Ondo scored two unreplied goals against Ebonyi Queens in Warri.
