Two clubs in Turkey have been alerted on the transfer situation of
Victor Obinna, who was on the books of Lokomotiv Moscow as at last
season.
Russian website Championat.com says Fenerbahce and Kayseri
Erciyesspor are pushing the necessary buttons to sign the Nigeria
international before the close of the transfer market.
But both teams must see off competition from Italian clubs Parma
and Atalanta, though reports suggesting that the attacker was on the
wish list of the Nerazzurri have been played down by their technical chief, Giovanni Sartori.
At the start of pre-season training, Victor Obinna was told by
the Lokomotiv Moscow hierarchy that he is not in the plans of manager
Leonid Kuchuk for the 2014-2015 campaign.
To make that pronouncement clear to the doubting Thomases, the
ex-West Ham and Chievo Verona ace has not been registered for the
Russian Premier League.
The 27-year-old's contract with the Railwaymen would have expired
on June 30, 2015 if both parties followed the terms of the agreement.
