Enugu Rangers defensive midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu has signed for newly-promoted South African PSL club, Chippa United.
The midfielder, who was part of Stephen Keshi's home-based Eagles, was one of a number of Rangers players who reportedly was released by the club for not living up to expectations.
Uzochukwu's signing was confirmed in a statement from Chippa United's COO Thabiso 'Shooz' Mekuto.
It said, "Uzochukwu was called-up by former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi, he helped his country qualify for the 2014 CHAN tournament scoring vital goals against Zimbabwe."
Uzochukwu joins fellow Nigerian James Okwuosa at the club, now based in the coastal city of Port Elizabeth, after they relocated from Cape Town for the 2014/2015 season.
