Players of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will on Wednesday arrive at
the Gombe venue of their Federation Cup round of 64 clash with Nigeria
National League side, Wikki Tourist of Bauchi.
According to El-Kanemi Warriors chairman, Alhaji Mala Zannah Mohammed
who just returned from Brazil, the team will be in Gombe on Wednesday
for their match on Thursday. He also emphasised on the importance of
every match as the Maiduguri based team aim to go far in this year's
competition.
"I must say that every match is important and that's the reason why the
management of the club have set everything in place for the team go far
in this years competition,"
"Let me also inform you that our junior team, El-Kanemi Babes are
already in Minna for their match on Wednesday against Prime FC of
Osogbo,"said Zannah.
Zannah also appreciated the Governor and people of Borno State for their immense support.
"I want to use this medium to thank the Governor, his deputy and the
sports commissioner for all their support to the team and it's important
we thank the good people of Borno state for their support. We pray
Allah will make them smile," Zannah concluded
The media officer of the club confirmed that the new signings of the
club have resumed but they will only be unveiled after the Federation
Cup match.
"The new set of players we signed have already resumed but the
unveiling will take place after the Fed Cup match," Obaseki confirmed.
