Asisat Oshoala currently plays for Rivers Angels in Nigeria and has been widely considered the Super Falcons’ next great midfielder, even drawing comparisons to the likes of Maureen Madu and Rita Chikwelu.

The youngster represented Nigeria at the 2012 U20 World Cup and gave a good account of herself.

Asisat started her professional career under the watchful eyes of FC Robo’s manager, Emmanuel Osahon, as a striker. She bagged-in goals and was spotted by Rivers Angels.

She is a no-nonsense central midfielder known for her strength, box-to-box approach, awareness, adaptability and goal-scoring instincts.

Asisat is best suited to a 4-3-3 or a flat 4-2-1-3 formation. She can also play as a second striker, as seen in the league match Rivers Angels played against Bayelsa Queens.
