No show for Super Eagles strikers

Everton's new manager Roberto Martinez is still looking for his first victory with the club following the goalless draw with West Brom and will be rueing his team's missed chances after Marouane Fellaini hit the post late and Seamus Coleman also struck the woodwork.

Everton now have two draws from their opening two games, while West Brom earned their first point despite playing without striker Nicolas Anelka, who is on indefinite compassionate leave after the death of one of his representatives.

Super Eagles forward Victor Anichebe was benched for the entire duration by Martinez, while his West Brom senior Peter Osaze Odemwingie was expectedly not listed. The former La Louviere star is set to make a move before the closure of the summer transfer window.
