Akwa United vindicated at last

The organising and disciplinary committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has ordered that the second half of a week 17 inconclusive match between Akwa United and Warri Wolves be played at Uyo township stadium on Sunday June 30.

It was also decided that Akwa United should play all her home matches in Uyo as the ban imposed on the team by the League Management Company(LMC) was overturned.

New sets of officials have been appointed to take charge of the 45minutes encounter. The chairman Akwa Ibom State football Association and chairman NFF committee on security Chief Effiong Johnson said the decision was taken after reports from all the parties were examined. It was also informed that the centre referee and match commissioner on that match were banned for the rest of the season.
