Emenike Ends Goal Drought

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Emenike has finally ended his lean spell in front of goal scoring in Fenerbache's 2-1 win over Bursaspor in a Turkish cup game.

The striker's last goal for Fenerbache was on the 14th of February 2015 in a 5-0 win over Gaziantepspor and since then he has gone 10 games spanning close to three months without a goal.

However it took just 26 minutes for him to end his barren spell in front of goal against Bursaspor by giving his side the lead.

This is the second time this season he is experiencing a goal drought as he went three months without a goal from November 2014 before scoring against Karabukspor on the 1st of February.

Fans of the Super Eagles will be hoping the 27-year-old embarks on a scoring spree till the end of the season as the 2017 Africa cup of Nations qualifiers is around the corner.
