Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie is upbeat over his recovery from knee surgery.
Odemwingie is confident the major injury will not derail a career which has been rejuvenated since his move to Stoke from Cardiff in January.
"I'm happy the operation was successful, it's like a new beginning," he said.
"I want to come back stronger than ever and hopefully pick up from where I stopped in August."
