Abia Warriors' defender Nwabalogu Obinna has praised his pals for their efforts in getting a draw against Remo Stars at the Dipo Dina Stadium on Saturday.
Warriors who have never won promotion to the Glo Nigeria Premier League, on Saturday edged closer to qualification after battling to a 0-0 draw away to Remo Stars.
The hosts tried as much as they could but were met by the resistance of the physical boys from Umuahia.
The draw thus sees Remo Stars with 41 points and Abia Warriors with 42 points from 29 matches.
Obinna said via a phone conversation that it was great to help Abia Warriors move closer to a place in the Premier League.
“We deserve this result because we have worked so hard,” added the Atletico Madrid trialist.
He said after drawing 0-0 in Ijebu Ode, many people thought we won't survive in Ijebu Ode.
On the week 30 tie against Akwa Starlets, the 21-year-old ace expressed confidence in Abia Warriors' ambitions.
