Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), Shehu Dikko has congratulated Warri Wolves for their qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup following a 2-0 aggregate win over Dedebit FC of Ethiopia in the 2nd leg of the 2nd round qualifying match.
Wolves won the first leg 2-0 in Wrri a fortnight ago through goals by Oghenekaro Etebo and Gbolahan Salami.
The LMC Chairman also enjoined the other three Nigerian clubs to review their participation towards ascertaining what went wrong rather than embarking on blame games.
Dikko on his personal social media, twitter handle said, “Congrats to Warri Wolves for qualifying to the next round. As for Enyimba, Kano Pillars and Dolphins, it’s not time for blame games but time for sober reflection and for everyone to put his thinking cap and review what went wrong”.
He said the review is necessary to determine what corrections need to be applied in the short and long term to ensure better performances in the future.
