We must take positives from Chelsea loss- Ranocchia

The 2-0 loss to Chelsea will serve Inter in the future as they look to fulfil the tactical needs of new boss Walter Mazzarri, says Andrea Ranocchia.

The Italian club lost to Jose Mourinho’s side in their Guinness International Champions Cup tie in America, but the former Bari player is remaining optimistic.

“Mazzarri has come here with his own set of ideas,” the defender noted. “We're trying to follow them and get on with the job.

“We played well in the first half against Chelsea, but then we found it tough in the second. We need to improve and make sure we don't repeat the mistakes we made.

“However, games like this are important because they give us the chance to try out what we're practising in training.

“We're aiming for the top because that has to be the target for Inter.”
