Nigeria striker Michael Eneramo debuted for Turkish club Besiktas on Thursday in a 2-1 loss at Norway’s Tromso in a UEFA Europa League tie.
Eneramo was an 83rd minute substitute for Kavkal.
The second leg will be in Istanbul on Thursday.
The group stage draw will take place in Monaco on Friday, August 30.
Turkey Football Federation wrongly listed Eneramo in the starting line-up for Besiktas in league opener against Trabzonspor.
Eneramo has signed a two-year deal with Besiktas after his contract with another Turkish club Sivasspor ran out.
