Barcelona look to Agger and Luiz to solve their defensive problems

Barcelona are holding talks with Chelsea and Liverpool over potential transfers for David Luiz and Daniel Agger.

The Blaugrana are desperate to sign a centre-back this summer, and following Thiago Silva’s contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain, have turned their attentions to the Premier League.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Camp Nou hierarchy are currently in negotiations with the English teams for the defensive duo.

Luiz has been a long-term target for Gerardo Martino’s men, and could cost in the region of €40m.

Agger meanwhile, is seen as Plan B for the Catalan club, and could cost €25m.
